Here’s another easy DIY project courtesy of our Pinterest page. Kristi at Addicted2Decorating converted a headboard and footboard she found at an estate sale into a fancy bench. You could put it in your entry (or if you’re living where such a thing is a necessity, your mudroom), or, with proper sealing, use it as outdoor seating for your back yard or patio. It might work well in a kid’s bedroom. There are a lot of different styles of beds out there, which is what will dictate the look of the finished bench, and you might even find one for free on Craigslist or another such site.

It’s a pretty simple design; just cut the footboard in half and attach it, then lay in boards for the seat. The tutorial covers all the details. Good luck!
