What’s stopping you?

Sometimes when we talk to someone about something fun we’ve done, the other person will say something like “I’ve always wanted to try that.” We hear it all the time when we talk about our archery classes. Scuba divers, skydivers, dancers, actors, artists and writers all hear it over and over. Well, if you’ve always wanted to try it, why haven’t you?

Soak Away Stress

I had a long difficult day this week. Nothing really terrible happened, but I didn’t sleep well the night before, and started the day feeling tired and cranky. Then the car broke down in the rain and I missed an appointment. A work project took way too long and threw off the rest of the day. I stepped on the scale (it went up instead of down), dealt with a nagging injury, felt bad for being inconsistent with this blog and that led to feeling guilty about messiness, and general feelings of frustration and disorganization. You know how these things build up. I went to Target to buy laundry detergent and cleaning things that are absolutely not fun and found a dollar bin item that cheered me up and inspired me to take a time out and put things into perspective. A cute $1.00 bath pillow and appropriately, it looks like a life preserver.
